On the move for the environment

In the last days of September, Terratinta Group participated for the second year in a row in the European Mobility Week: 16 employees supported the initiative by coming to the workplace by bicycle or sharing the car on the way to work.

Our team has covered 223.5 km in this way, and we have therefore saved the emission of 22.16 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere.

What does this mean in a practical sense? We allowed a tree, which works every day to absorb the CO2 produced by transport and thus reduce carbon dioxide, to rest for a year!

Our goal for next year is to allow two trees to take a well-deserved rest, but in the meantime, we don’t want this to be the only week we’re committed to the environment. The activities put in place during these few days will be repeated throughout the year, as our team has enthusiastically joined in.

In addition, we have just inaugurated our new headquarters, a daily proof of our commitment, both for the choice of materials and finishes, which underlines the green and forward-looking character of our Group and for the projects we have on the go, such as the photovoltaic system that will make us energy self-sufficient, up to the complete renewal of the lighting systems in the warehouse.
